Creating a brand in the entertainment industry is important if you want to stand out. A tall Nigerian with a knack for off beat themes, Kelechi Okoro (KO) tends to standout as it is. Therefore, we wanted to create a brand that represented him while keeping the focus on the work. Black and white color-blocking was used since it timelessly represents film while simultaneously representing the boldness of KO.
To reach an audience that has become familiar with scrolling and boxy social media layouts, we went with an Insta-like layout, making it easy for someone to drop by the site, see a few videos and reach out. The content was simple, so keeping everything on one page was important to make sure the audience was not lost with extra steps. In addition to the individual branding I also created the logo and poster for his latest short film, Sweet.
